BethAnne C. Hutchinson

As EdVistas’ Assessment Services Manager, BethAnne leads our team of assessment developers, scorers and scoring leaders, and assessment materials support staff. She is the primary contact for NYS assessment scoring services, as well as benchmark and pre-testing services. In addition to her role in assessment, BethAnne has played a role in programming and software support on our RIMS (Curriculum Developer), ELITE Assessment Data Reporting System, and AIMS (AIS/RTI) programs. She has worked alongside Dr. Crowder in curriculum writing sessions with school districts in Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and New York. She has led the development and implementation processes for benchmark assessments for ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, she guides the standard setting for performance items, particularly for the various purposes for writing. Her work with both national and international assessments has given her the experience and insight for developing assessments with appropriate rigor and formats. She has worked for more than a decade in the field of psychometrics. BethAnne holds a secondary science teaching certificate, having taught high school science and math in Massachusetts and New York. She has also worked in the insurance and medical research fields. BethAnne has been a member of the EVI staff since 1995.
